Electric vehicle (EV) ownership in Singapore is on the rise. According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), there are 56,770 electric cars in Singapore as of March 2026. This is more than double the number of electric cars at the end of 2024, which was 26,225. Electric cars also made up 57.6% of the 13,322 new car registrations in the first quarter of 2026. Yet the perception of EVs as expensive persists, with the cost of buying an EV often accompanied by concerns about resale value and depreciation.
In Singapore, EV ownership is encouraged by rebates from the Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES) and the EV Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI). Under LTA’s announced rules, fully electric cars registered in 2026 receive an EEAI rebate of 45% of the Additional Registration Fee (ARF), capped at $7,500. The VES Band A rebate is $22,500 in 2026 and $20,000 in 2027. EEAI ends from 1 January 2027, reducing the maximum combined ARF rebates from $30,000 in 2026 to $20,000 in 2027. Actual rebates are limited by the applicable ARF.
It may be prudent, therefore, to find out how much the cheapest EVs in Singapore cost. The following are 15 lower-priced electric car models and variants with published prices checked on 21 October 2026. Prices include COE and applicable VES and EEAI rebates, and are attributed to the seller or listing used.

Other dealer offers may differ. For example, Key Motor advertises an Aion UT at $167,988, but does not identify the variant in that headline offer. It also continues to advertise the Aion ES and Y Plus. Confirm their stock, variant and current prices with the dealer. JMEV Elight pricing is currently listed as POA on SGCarMart, so its previous prices have not been carried into this comparison.
