15 Cheapest EV Cars In Singapore

2026 is the last year to enjoy the EV Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI) rebates.

Electric vehicle (EV) ownership in Singapore is on the rise. According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), there are 56,770 electric cars in Singapore as of March 2026. This is more than double the number of electric cars at the end of 2024, which was 26,225. And that number isn’t slowing down, with electric cars making up 57.6% of the 13,322 new car registrations in the first quarter of 2026. Yet the perception of EVs as expensive persists, with the cost of buying an EV often accompanied by concerns about resale value and depreciation.

In Singapore, EV ownership is encouraged by the rebates from the Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES) and the EV Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI), both of which have been extended into 2026. However, LTA has also made it clear that the overall benefits will continue to be tapered as adoption increases. For example, it was announced last year that EEAI would cease from 1 January 2027, while VES rebates for EVs dropped from $25,000 in 2025 to $22,500 in 2026. It will drop further to $20,000 in 2027.

It may be prudent, therefore, to find out how much the cheapest EVs in Singapore cost. Prices and other information are obtained from individual dealers’ websites and SGCarMart, as of 6 May 2026. All prices include the current VES and EEAI rebates.
