How Much Do Flights For Popular Destinations Cost For Singapore’s Long Weekends In 2027

There will be 5 long weekends in 2027, starting with New Year’s Day.

Singapore has 11 public holidays each year, but in 2027, we’ll enjoy 5 long weekends. However, depending on which days these public holidays fall on, some strategic planning could create much longer weekends. Ahead of the upcoming Time To Fly travel fair, we look at the cost of some flights during these long weekends.

All prices are sourced from flight comparison sites and are correct as of the publication date.

#1 Christmas 2026 To New Year 2027 (25 December 2026 To 3 January 2027)

Possible annual leave days required: 4

The upcoming Christmas and New Year public holidays both fall on a Friday, making them long weekends on their own. However, because they are only 4 days apart, you could take annual leave (or some companies offer block leave for this period) and get a 10-day holiday out of it.

Here are some popular destinations you could visit during this year-end period, along with the cheapest flights currently available. All flights depart on 25th December 2026 and return on 3 January 2027.

#2 Chinese New Year 2027 (6 February 2027 To 14 February 2027)

Possible annual leave days required: 4

Chinese New Year in 2027 is a popular holiday period because it always includes two public holidays. However, because next year’s Chinese New Year falls on Saturday and Sunday, the following Monday (8 February 2027) is a public holiday, and several employees will also get a day off in lieu of the Saturday public holiday. This means that you could possibly have a nine-day holiday simply by taking 4 or less days of annual leave.

Here are some popular destinations you could visit during this Chinese New Year period, along with the cheapest flights currently available. All flights depart on 6th February 2027 and return on 14 February 2027.
