According to Tripadvisor, the Singapore Zoo is among the best things to do in Singapore. Besides the Singapore Zoo, there is also the Night Safari, River Wonders (formerly River Safari), and Bird Paradise (former Jurong Bird Park). For those planning to take multiple trips to these wildlife parks located at Mandai, it’s worth considering if we wish to buy a Friends of Wildlife Membership, which essentially acts as a season pass for the family.
What Is The Friends Of Wildlife Membership?
There are two options for the Friends of Wildlife: the Friends of Wildlife pass or the Friends of Wildlife Plus pass. The regular pass includes three blackout dates during which you cannot use the annual pass.
An annual pass to all four parks | Friends of Wildlife | Friends of Wildlife Plus |
Cost for family package (2 adults + 2 children/teens) | $425 | $475 |
Access | All four parks. Comes with 3 blackout dates (second day of Chinese New Year, Labour Day and Hari Raya Puasa) | All four parks with no blackout dates. |
Caretaker Discount | Entitled to one Caretaker membership at a discounted rate.

Here’s a look at the membership price for Friends of Wildlife.
Here’s the membership price for Friends of Wildlife Plus.
As a Friends of Wildlife member, you’ll receive annual park access and enjoy a 20% discount at F&B and retail outlets, along with additional benefits specific to each park. Since a park visit can last for hours or even an entire day, you’ll likely need to dine at the park’s F&B outlets. This membership helps you save money while keeping your hungry children satisfied.
Tram rides, previously charged, are now complimentary at all our wildlife parks. This means everyone can enjoy them for free, regardless of whether you are a Friends of Wildlife member.
Price Of Single Ticket VS The Friends of Wildlife Membership
Local residents enjoy a 10% discount on ticket prices, and we have included the cost for two adults and two kids below. The ticket costs the same as an adult for youths ages 13 to 17.
Wildlife Parks | Cost for 2 adults + 2 children |
Singapore Zoo | $166 ($149.40) |
River Wonders | $148 ($133.20) |
Night Safari* | $190 ($171) |
Bird Paradise | $166 (149.90) |
*At the point of update, the Night Safari offers a 10% discount for non-residents and a 20% discount for local residents. In our table, we have used the price without any discount for non-residents and a 10% discount for local residents.
It’s easy to see how the Friends of Wildlife Membership quickly pays for itself. For a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) visiting all four parks using the single admission ticket price, the total amount spent would add up to $603.50, assuming a 10% for admission tickets as residents. Paying $425 (Friends of Wildlife) or $505 (Friends of Wildlife Plus) would already be cheaper than paying single admission ticket prices for all four parks.
Three visits to any of the wildlife parks would be the “breakeven” point at which getting a Friends of Wildlife Membership would make financial sense. In addition to saving on park admission costs, Friends of Wildlife members enjoy other benefits such as discounts for purchases within the wildlife parks.
You Can Also Buy Single Admission To Multiple Parks
There is also the option of single admission into multiple parks. There is a 2-park option which is geared towards tourists given that the validity of the tickets is only 7 days. Of course, families can also take up this deal if they are looking for activities during the school holidays.
Multi-Park Deals | Cost for 2 adults + 2 children ages 3 to 12 | Validity | Inclusive |
2-Park (Select 2 from Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari) | $260-$300 based on your park selection | 7 days | Tram service is included for Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise and Night Safari |
Get A Membership For Free – WildPass
If none of the options appeal to you or you are uncertain about how often you would use the membership, consider the free WildPass membership.
Singapore Residents can sign up for a free WildPass at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. WildPass members do not get annual admissions, but they will enjoy discounts of up to 20% off on their admission tickets at all four parks and 10% off at selected F&B and retail outlets.
