ShopBack GO is a new cashback programme launched by ShopBack on 17 December 2018, which allows users to earn cashback when they dine, on top of existing credit card discounts and promotions. At launch, there are more than 400 partner restaurants where you can use ShopBack GO.
Here are 6 things you should know about ShopBack GO before you start using it.
#1 You Can Link Multiple Credit Cards With ShopBack GO
You can link multiple cards for use with ShopBack GO. This is useful because some restaurants may have promotions for specific credit cards. Note that only Singapore-issued Visa and MasterCard Credit and Debit cards are accepted.
In additional to physical card payment, other supported payment methods include Visa payWave, Mastercard PayPass, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
#2 Cashback Needs To Be Activated At Each Merchant Activation No Longer Required To Enjoy Cashback
Cashback at participating merchants is now activated by default. This means that you do not need to activate cashback at the merchant when dining to earn cashback rewards for that meal. After you’ve eaten, you can simply proceed to pay using one of your linked credit cards.
#3 Each Activation Lasts For 30 Days
If you return to the same restaurant within the 30 days activation period, your cashback will continue to be tracked. According to ShopBack GO, the expiry date allows their restaurant partners to better plan their seating capacity.
If you can’t remember when your activation expires, you can check the status on ShopBack GO before payment. When your activation expires, you can simply re-activate it again.
#4 Cashback You Receive Is On Top Of Your Existing Credit Card Perks
Any cashback received from ShopBack GO is on top of your existing credit card benefits, such as discounts, promotions, air miles, and cashback from your credit card issuer.
To illustrate, if you use the OCBC 365 credit card for dining payment, you will receive a total of 11% cashback – 6% from your credit card (with a minimum spend of $800 in a calendar month) and 5% from ShopBack GO.

#5 Cashback Is Earned On Your Spend Before GST And Service Charge
If you noticed that your cashback amount seems lesser than expected, this is because cashback calculation is only applied to the final spend, before GST and Service Charge.
In most cases, your cashback earned is reflected in your ShopBack account within a few seconds after the transaction. In the event that the cashback is not tracked after 5 days, you can submit a missing cashback request.
#6 Cashback Received Can Be Withdrawn To Your Bank Account
Any dining cashback from ShopBack GO will be reflected in your ShopBack account, together with the cashback you received from other ShopBack services such as online shopping and hotel bookings.
Once you accumulated at least $10 in cashback, you can withdraw the cashback earned to a designated bank or PayPal account. The funds will take around 7 – 14 days to be credited.
