With the current temperature in Singapore, many of us would prefer to remain in air-conditioned spaces. However, indoor activities don’t have to be limited to shopping or dining. For adults and colleagues looking for engaging and refreshing indoor activities, plenty of exciting options are available in Singapore.
In particular, companies often seek team bonding activities that are both enjoyable and beneficial. With that in mind, here are five indoor obstacle courses in Singapore designed for adults and perfect for team-building with colleagues.
#1 X-Scap8
Pronounced “Escapade,” Xscap8 is an indoor playground for adults located on Orchard Road. It’s built with adults in mind, with an Infinity & Beyond 10m High Element Course, an X-Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course, a Balls & Birdies Golf Simulator, and a Smash Lab to de-stress and release all that pent-up anger in a safe environment.
With the 10m High Element Course, you’ll be up in the air (with a harness) doing various obstacles. The X-Warrior Challenge Course is an indoor Ninja-style course that tests your speed, agility, and strength – sort of like a Ninja Warrior obstacle course.
Individual tickets for the various activities range from $29 to $50, but you can book events and contact them for corporate bookings if you have larger groups.
Also, check out their Retro Arcade zone if you want to travel back in time and play old classics like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Tetris, and Street Fighter.
#2 BOUNCE Singapore Trampoline Park
As the name suggests, BOUNCE is an indoor trampoline park. While the first impression may be that this is only for kids, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Indeed, BOUNCE organises group parties, corporate events and team-building activities. Hosted groups can get two hours of intense games that will get you moving.
These include activities like Dodgeball, Free-Jump, X-Park, Performance Area, and the Big Bag. BOUNCE’s X-Park is Asia’s first free-running obstacle course, so you can also test your speed and agility.
You can buy Multi-Visit passes if you’re going with only a few others, while a 2-hour Superpass costs S$33.90, and a 1-hour General Access pass costs S$26.90.
#3 Adventure HQ
At HomeTeamNS Khatib, you can – according to their website’s front page – Experience the Outdoors, Indoors!
Located at the Khatib Clubhouse in Yishun Walk, Adventure HQ is Singapore’s first and largest multi-installation indoor adventure playground. It has Singapore’s first indoor roll glider, its longest 14-meter indoor slide, its first 165-meter-long indoor artificial cave, and the city state’s largest two-tiered, 16-element indoor challenges ropes course.
Adventure HQ offers some truly unique experiences, such as an urban climb (climbing wall), Ninja Course, Sky Venture, Adventure Trail, Cloud Climb and Firemen Slides.
There are preferred rates for HomeTeamNS (including family members) and Affiliate (social member, SAFRA, Passion). Adventure Single Passes, Adventure Buddy Passes, and Adventure Bundles Passes are available for both non-peak and peak hours.
#4 Action Motion Bedok
Another HomeTeamNS venue, Action Motion at Bedok Reservoir is Singapore’s first indoor obstacle course with a Gamifier system.
This allows you to tabulate and calculate the player’s score and timings for completing activities. It’s a great way to keep up any occasion’s fun and competitive spirit. At the Leaderboard Challenge, individuals can also win daily and monthly prizes. The Gamifier system is easy to work with.
You register with an RFID bracelet at the kiosk and accumulate points at different stations according to your entry and exit times at each. You then check your score at the end.
With active courses like Rapid Action, Motion Mesh, and Ascend Lab, adults can have a great time while competing for the best times.
Slots can be booked online. Only Single Passes and Party Packages are available, with the usual varying rates for HomeTeamNS, Affiliate, and Guests.
#5 Zero Latency VR Gaming
With Zero Latency, stepping into alternate universes is almost like being in a real-life obstacle course.
Located in Suntec City Mall, Zero Latency allows individuals to immerse themselves in new worlds and environments – competing with up to eight players for 30 minutes.
Only available for players over 16 years of age, the VR worlds include Far Cry—a tropical island holiday hijacked by terrorists—and Outbreak, a zombie virus that has taken over and which you have to outwit and outlast.
There’s also a selection of other VR scenarios/settings that players can choose from. An off-peak entry (Monday to Thursday) costs S$48 per player, while regular pricing (Friday to Sunday, Eve & Public Holidays) is S$59.90 per player.
Zero Latency also does Team Building deals and Corporate Memberships for larger groups and companies wishing to incentivise their staff with visits to VR worlds.
