Given the extraordinary rise of Southeast Asia, as the fifth largest economy in the world, it’s no surprise to learn that the region is home to some of the world’s richest people. And, included in that list are – of course – individuals who hail from Singapore.
Forbes maintains “World’s Real-Time Billionaires List” and there are some recognisable names on the list from Singapore. In total, there are 48 listed billionaires in Singapore.
Here are the top 10 richest Singapore billionaires in 2025 and how they earned their wealth.

#1 Li Xiting

First on the Rich List for Singaporeans is Li Xiting, who has a net worth of around US$13.4 billion. Li is the cofounder and Chairman of medical devices firm Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics.
Li founded Mindray back in Shenzhen in 1991 and he’s now a Singapore citizen, splitting his time between China and the city-state. Mindray acquired a 21% stake in APT Medical, a Shenzhen-based cardiology equipment maker, for just over US$900 million in 2024.
#2 Forrest Li

Many people in Singapore may recognise Forrest Li, whose net worth has ballooned to US$12.0 billion. That’s because he’s the founder and CEO of Southeast Asian-focused gaming and e-commerce firm Sea Ltd.
Sea, of course, owns the dominant shopping platform Shopee, as well as the gaming firm Garena (that distributes the popular Free Fire mobile game). Sea is also gaining traction in the digital banking space with Maribank.
Sea has turned profitable in the past few years and, as a result, investors have rewarded the company’s stock – which is up nearly 150% in the past 12 months. This explains why his wealth has also increased by a similar amount in the past year.

Third and fourth on the list are Philip and Robert Ng, with a net worth of US$7.5 billion and US$7.4 billion respectively. The brothers are in charge of the Far East Organisation – one of Singapore’s largest private landlords and property developers.
The property group was founded back in 1934 by their father – Ng Teng Fong – and he came to be known as “The King of Orchard Road” given the group’s many properties on the illustrious shopping strip in Singapore.
The group also has an Hong Kong arm – Sino Group – that is run by Robert and his son Daryl. Meanwhile, Philip oversees the group’s Singapore portfolio.
#5 Jason Chang

Fifth on the list is Jason Chang, chairman of Taiwan’s ASE Technology Holding, who has a net worth of US$7.2 billion.
The tech firm is one of the world’s leading providers of semiconductor testing and assembly services – clearly a lucrative space to be in.
Chang, along with his brother Richard Chang, is also one of the main investors in commercial real estate developer Sino Horizon.

Gang Ye takes sixth spot on the list for Singaporeans with a net worth of US$6.4 billion. Gang actually co-founded Sea Ltd alongside Forrest Li and David Chen.
He has also been the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2017 following his previous role as the group’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
#7 Zhang Yong

Zhang Yong comes in seventh spot on the list with a net worth of US$6.6 billion. Zhang is a restaurateur and Chairman of the popular Sichuan hotpot chain Haidilao International Holding.
Haidilao has over 1,400 hotpot restaurants in Greater China and the company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It also managed to spin off its international Haidilao restaurant – via Super Hi – in a Hong Kong listing in 2022.
#8 Kwek Leng Beng

Kwek Leng Beng is eighth on the list with a net worth of US$3.7 billion. Kwek has made headlines recently in Singapore for the internal dispute at City Developments, the company where he’s Executive Chairman.
His son, Sherman, is CEO of City Developments and the group owns rental apartments globally as well as being one of Singapore’s largest property developers.
Kwek’s father founded Hong Leong Group in 1941, a property firm that Kwek is also Executive Chairman of.
#9 Jason Jiang

In ninth spot is Jason Jiang with a net worth of US$5.2 billion. Jiang is the founder, CEO and Chairman of Chinese outdoor advertising firm Focus Media Information Technology.
The firm was taken private, off the Nasdaq, in 2013 and re-listed back in Shenzhen in 2016 via a backdoor listing. Backed by e-commerce giant Alibaba, the company possesses elevator screens and movie theatre media networks in over 280 Mainland China cities and 95 cities worldwide.
