5 Questions With… Rachel Chong, Co-Founder, KURA

5 Questions With… is an initiative to feature local entrepreneurs and give you a glimpse into their daily lives – how they live, work, and play. This week, we speak to Rachel Chong, co-founder of KURA, a local artisanal cafe that specialises in unique, handcrafted pastries and desserts.

Rachel and her business partner Koojee (pictured, right) are both chef pâtissières who started KURA in 2019. Located in Kim Yam Road, this French and Japanese inspired cafe aims to delight through their regularly updated menu of original creations.

2 Entrepreneurs You Look Up To

I admire Cynthia Chia from Spa Spirit Group, who has built a portfolio of homegrown food and beverage brands, including Tiong Bahru Bakery, Common Man Coffee Roasters, Noka, Open Farm Community and more.

I’m still on the lookout for other entrepreneurs to be inspired by!
