Following the\u00a0Singapore Budget 2025<\/a>\u00a0announcement, a $400 million Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package (EWTP) was unveiled \u2013 outlining various measures to support employers in productivity-led growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package<\/a>\u00a0is broken into three branches of support measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#1<\/strong> SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (WDG)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (WDG) will bring together existing schemes administered by Workforce Singapore (WSG) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) \u2013 and simplify the process \u2013 via a single application channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of these schemes include WSG\u2019s Career Conversion Programme (CCP) and SSG\u2019s NACE Workplace Learning Project. Currently, these schemes are available through different touchpoints and application channels. To be rolled out in phases from 2026, WDG will enable companies to access holistic workforce development support through the Business Grants Portal (BGP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anchor Programme Partners (PPs) will provide support for companies\u2019 transformation efforts through end-to-end advisory support to adopt the relevant workforce transformation solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Greater Support For Job Redesign Under The WDG<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Currently, WSG provides up to 50% funding support, capped at $30,000 per company, for employers engaging pre-approved job redesign consultants through the Job Redesign under Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG-JR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To beef up this support, WSG will raise this funding support to a maximum of 70%, capped at $30,000 per company. The scope of support will also be extended beyond consultancy services. It will now incorporate training for line managers and HR teams in job redesign and change management, as well as identifying workforce solutions and technology tools to drive sustainable transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3 A Redesigned SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another scheme that will be improved under the overarching EWTP is the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) scheme. This will encourage companies to undertake workforce transformation projects by defraying your out-of-pocket costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the 2nd half of 2026, the SFEC will itself be redesigned from its current format. All companies with at least three resident employees will receive a fresh $10,000 SFEC credit in an online wallet. This can be used to immediately offset out-pocket-costs for eligible workforce transformation initiatives and courses \u2013 rather than be used via a reimbursement basis currently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the current scheme, though, the existing $10,000 SFEC credits is set to expire by June 2025. They will be extended until the new credits are ready to be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
