Recently, MOM issued the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/stats.mom.gov.sg\/iMAS_PdfLibrary\/mrsd-labour-force-in-singapore-advance-release-2024.pdf\">Labour Force in Singapore Advance Release 2024<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 giving us an early look at the statistics compiled for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are 4 things we learned about Singapore\u2019s workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"1-labour-force-participation-declined-in-2024\"><strong>#1 Labour Force Participation Declined In 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Labour participation rates fell a third consecutive year in 2024 \u2013 dropping to 68.2% from a peak of 70.5% in 2021 due to temporary pandemic-related jobs. Unsurprisingly, most of these elderly discouraged workers were non-tertiary educated and had not worked for at least two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter
