Ever since the world started opening up after COVID-19, many companies have developed the capability of having staff work remotely, and this has resulted in the trend of digital nomads \u2013 people who are allowed to reside in a different country for an extended period of time, while continuing to work remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some digital nomads may wish to do this as a way to experience life in another country while continuing to work remotely with their current companies. Indonesia is an attractive destination for this, given its rich culture and stunning natural beauty, alongside its affordable cost of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indonesia’s E33G Visa Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The E33G Visa allows you to stay for one year while working for a foreign-based company and travel freely into and out of Indonesia for the year. You can also bring eligible family members into Indonesia. As like digital nomad visas in other countries, you are only allowed to conduct remote work with a non-Indonesian company, so you are not allowed to work with an Indonesian company, nor are you allowed to carry out activities such as sales or provision of services which earn revenue in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eligibility Requirements<\/strong> For E33G Visa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Your passport must be valid for at least 12 months from the date you enter Indonesia. You will need a passport-sized photograph taken within the last three months. You will also need to have bank statements showing that you have at least US$2,000 (S$2,680) in your bank account to prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself financially during your stay in Indonesia. You will also need to show proof of health or travel insurance which will cover you during your stay in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will need to submit income statements or other income sources which show an annual income of at least US$60,000 (S$80,400), and a copy of your current employment contract to prove that you are employed by a company outside of Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How To Apply For Indonesia’s E33G Visa<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Before applying, ensure that you have the following documents ready:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passport with at least 6 months validity.<\/li>
Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $2000 (S$2680 the last 3 months period (must clearly show name, date of period, and balance account).<\/li>
Recent Passport-sized photograph<\/li>
Employment contract with current non-Indonesian employer<\/li>
Bank statements that proves income in the form of salary or income worth at least US$60,000($80,400) per year<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
