Like individuals, companies may buy corporate golf club memberships for its prestige and to reward business leaders with high-quality recreational and dining facilities for their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Country clubs with golf courses are traditionally known for client entertainment and networking opportunities. When key business leaders at a company have a golf club membership, it will inevitably reflect on the success of the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Businesses can also use club facilities for team bonding activities, such as sports, dining and hosting parties. Increasingly, many country clubs are also offering business meeting spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Typically, corporate memberships have to be registered under a Singapore-incorporated corporation. Many corporate memberships also have a foreign membership, that is usually slightly more expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A final piece of consideration for businesses is the costs involved. Many golf clubs in Singapore have separate corporate memberships, providing benefits that are more suitable to businesses, including ownership, access, transferability and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some of the golf clubs in Singapore that offer corporate memberships:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#1 Singapore Island Country Club (SICC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) has four golf courses. Two of its golf courses are slated to be redeveloped in phases in 2024 \u2013 and scheduled to reopen in phases in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can only buy Singapore Island Corporate Club Corporate Memberships<\/a> from the open market. Currently, there is only one Corporate Membership for sale on the SICC website \u2013 for a fee of $570,000. In comparison, there are Ordinary (Transferable) Memberships for sale on the open market starting from $350,000 \u2013 with more than 20 listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each Corporate Membership is only entitled to one corporate nominee. You have to pay a Transfer Fee of $90,000, and an Entrance Fee of $35,000. These fees would typically be inclusive in the Corporate Membership sale price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a transfer of a Foreign Corporate (Transferable) Membership to a non-local corporation, the Transfer fee is $110,000, while the Entrance Fee is $45,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporates can change their nominee by paying the Entrance Fee for the member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, there is a $300 refundable deposit for all types of members, including Corporate Members. There will also be a monthly subscription fee of $180 for the Corporate Nominee and $30 for their spouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Sentosa Golf Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Sentosa Golf Club offers two world-class 18-hole golf courses \u2013 The Serapong and The Tanjong. Apart from the game, the golf courses offer beautiful views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Corporate Memberships are not available for sale at the Sentosa Golf Club<\/a>, and you have to buy it from the open market. From online sources, there are not many available \u2013 and the estimated quoted price is $1.2 million. In contrast, Ordinary Memberships, which are also not available for direct sale from the club, are for sale in the open market from $500,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Sentosa Golf Club\u2019s Corporate Membership gives you 2 nominees. Again, there will be a Transfer Fee of $140,000, and Nominee Registration or Nominee Change Fee of $30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sentosa Golf Club has a refundable $300 credit deposit per nominee, and charge a monthly subscription of $250 per nominee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3 Tanah Merah Country Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nestled in East Coast, Tanah Merah Country Club offers two beautiful golf courses, Garden Course and Tampines Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no information about open corporate membership rates at Tanah Merah Country Club<\/a>. On several online sources, the open market quote for a corporate membership is $230,000, while the ordinary membership rate is $235,000 to $242,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You get a single nominee for your corporate membership. You have to pay a Transfer Fee of $43,600, and a monthly subscription fee of $250.70. For those who just want to change the nominee, the fee is $21,800.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#4 Seletar Country Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Seletar Country Club offers a newly-renovated 18-hole golf course in the north of Singapore \u2013 in Seletar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you may expect, there are no new corporate memberships open at Seletar Country Club<\/a>. In the open market, there are corporate memberships available in $65,000-$70,000 range. New ordinary memberships are also not open, but available on the open market in the $70,000 to $75,000 range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You get one nominee with the corporate membership. There is a $21,800 Transfer Fee that you have to pay, and a $196.20 monthly subscription fee. Corporates can also change their Corporate Nominee for $5,450.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#5 Orchid Country Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Located opposite Seletar Country Club, and divided by Lower Seletar Reservoir, Orchid Country Club has three 9-hole golf courses. Together, the 27-hole golf course was designed by the late former Singapore President, Ong Teng Cheong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online sources list the open market price for Orchid Country Club<\/a> corporate memberships in the $60,000 range. Note that this will only be valid until 2030, as the club\u2019s lease will not be renewed beyond that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporate members can appoint one nominee, and have to pay a Transfer Fee of $10,900. For a change of nominee, the cost is $8,720. In addition, there is a $175.68 monthly subscription fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#6 Warren Golf & Country Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Located in Chua Chu Kang, and flanked by a river, Warren Golf & Country Club has an 18-hole golf course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no information on membership rates on its website<\/a>. Online sources for open market rate corporate membership is listed at $30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On its website, it states that you can have up to 3 corporate nominees. The Transfer Fee for 1 nominee is $13,080, for 2 nominees is $23,980, and for 3 nominees is $34,880. To change a nominee, it costs $6,540.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of this, there is a monthly subscription fee of $174.40 per nominee (or $141.70 for those above 70). There is also a Minimum Spending Fee on F&B at the club, charged at $81.75 per quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Club Members Can Also Visit Reciprocal & Affiliated Clubs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Apart from its local golfing benefits, corporate members can also benefit with overseas clubs that are offer reciprocal arrangements or are affiliated to their golf club. Corporate members can use the facilities of the overseas club when they travel \u2013 for work or for leisure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, corporate members of Singapore Island County Club can access more than 70 prestigious golf clubs across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Tanah Merah Country club has four reciprocal clubs and 34 affiliated golf and country clubs in across 12 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporate members of Warren Golf & Country Club has reciprocal or affiliate arrangements in over 10 countries with 43 clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
